The fact that everyday life kills love is a common motto, which contains a great deal of truth.
Even if we extend the concept of love to more philosophical interpretations and give it the meaning of the will to create.
Charlie Chaplin very successfully portrayed the mechanistic slow death brought by the daily repetition without a trace of consciousness, in his masterpiece, “The Lights of the City.”
The hero, however, becomes much stronger in the end and does not leave himself in the greedy hands of a sterile routine. And that with love as his only medium.
So everyday life, as neat as it is when you live it, can be another inspiration for an artist when you observe it.
Through this observation, an ingenious spirit can easily discover many heroes in the gray fight for survival.
The everyday life of a hero is a constant struggle, not only for survival but also for the hunt for one’s own knowledge.
Maybe in a parallel universe, just a mechanical repetition of meaningless actions.
“Parallel Universe” is the title of the SiXforNinE album featuring the song “Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining”.
The song, which was sung by Fotis Benardo and its melodic track, belongs to the whole band, dealing with this exact fight.
The difficulties of day-to-day life that make us stronger were the inspiration for the song.
These same difficulties could be those of a musician trying to survive in the cloudy day-to-day life of our country …
And in the end, he comes out even stronger.
As strong the song was played in front of the band’s fans, as well as Disturbed and Anthrax‘s fans when they were the opening act at Release Athens 2019.
The album was released on August 2, 2019, and in this particular song, the lyrics went onto the music.
This seems to be the creative way of the band.
“Common yet different sounds at the same time, which have the common denominator of melody, hard sound, sometimes odd times, atmospheric passages …
All this led to the creation of the songs of the Parallel Universe” as the band tells us.
Certainly “Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining” is no exception.
The song itself, as well as the meaning of the band’s name, can be interpreted differently. Something that depends on the point of observation.
“As humans and as musicians in the band we act as an “organism” that is sometimes calm, sometimes wild, complementing each other like puzzle pieces. There are always 2 sides to the same topic (whatever that is).
Like the number 9 on the door of the hotel room that “fell” and turned 6. Our music is full of contrasts and the name SiXforNinE represents them perfectly.”
After all, the goal of every poetic expression is to have many different interpretations.
Just like their creation…
“The need to express ourselves through music has united our paths and our strengths. We certainly consider ourselves lucky in many ways! ”
Humans, after all, are by themselves “parallel universes” and just occasionally meet each other and this moment can be a song.
In closure, SixForNine sends a message to their audience:
“Listen to a lot of music, go to live shows and support the bands you like in any way you can!”
