It was Saturday, March 30, when I went to Kyttaro to watch, after many years a Greek Rock concert.
After reading some live reports regarding the concert, I would like to clarify some things: Kyttaro’s live stage did some great work with the sound during the event.
Strong and distinct for each band, depending on the intensity they were given.
I don’t know who was responsible for the sound of the event but they did an excellent job; they were great professionals, which is rare.
Besides every band had its own show, and that night with remarkable speed, the sound engineer managed to provide the audience with 100 % perfect sound quality.
The employees of Kyttaro did their best to make the night even better with their kindness and their good vibes.
(A really rare fact for this kind of live stages in Greece)

Although I don’t prefer to write about the people who are behind the shows…
Τhis time, I have to admit that Aggelos Aligiannis did some great work by gathering these bands “under the same roof”.
I hope he continues like this and does not get tired.
The Bands
Final Act
Due to my late arrival, I did not get the whole performance of the “newcomers” Final Act, who have officially introduced themselves in 2016.
However, from the little I managed to hear, they are really interesting; With a good and powerful stage presence.
By asking some of the -more informed- people I was with that night, they told me that Final Act is a pretty good Greek Band and I should learn more about them.
Dionysos
The friendship that has developed between us over the last 7 years does not make me so objective when it comes to them, so I ask for your understanding ….
I will try to be as objective as possible!
Having attended many of their concerts, I can tell with some confidence that they are a band in which every one of its members transforms themselves on stage.
From shy and timid people, with the first note, they seemed to turn into different persons, a band that is the definition of Rock n Roll! Sound, lyrics, and energy!
The Dionysos band plays their music for themselves first!
It doesn’t matter how many people are there, who attending their shows! When they are on stage, they do whatever they know better… they rock!
They will drag you, with their performance, to sing, to dance and to rock along with them!

Arnakia
I first met them musically in 1999, when a friend of mine introduced them to me with the album “Arnakia” and the song “Περνάνε Μπροστά μου” (They passing in form of me) playing on repeat.
Watching them live on stage of Kyttaro after all these years, I stood there literally speechless.
The same ageless band! The same sound that they used to have, the same passion, the same show!
I had a really good flashback of the year I was a wild teenager.
Unstoppable energy and the feeling that Greek punk rock is still here!
(That doesn’t mean that you can’t find some great punk bands nowadays, though the Arnakia are something really different)
Each of their notes and lyrics attracts you; you end up hoping that their show will never end. You want some more, even when they have just started singing their songs. Awesome in every possible way!
Lefki Simfonia
The difficult part now… The “Lefki Symfonia” abnd.
On stage, I did have some expectations from this band. They were good but I would like something more.
(After all, this is a big trap of being a big fan of some artists)
Their energy was a lot like the atmosphere of a gothic band (anyone who has attended a gothic concert will understand what I mean).
In every song they sing, they manage to play a variety of kinds of music and sound the same way they did it in their albums.
The voice of Lefki Symfonia, Thodoris Dimitriou, was the one who planned every little detail on stage for 90 minutes.
His voice -although it’s different- is still really good, especially when he sang my favorite song “Θα είμαι εκεί” (I’ll be there).
I thought I wasn’t at their live concert but I was listening to their album.
Each of these three bands has quite a history, and they are still some of the most important Greek Rock bands and time does not touch them;
Through the years they are becoming better and better!
