From “Taschen Books”, an impressive photo album of the iconic American singer, poet, and artist Patti Smith is released.
The prominent personality of the New York Punk movement is presented through the lens of legendary Rock photographer Lynn Goldsmith.
“Lynn created an atmosphere in which I could be myself, express my potential,” Smith said.
The photos, first seen in the light of publicity, cover the period from the mid to late 1970s on the album: “Before Easter After“.
Through Goldsmith‘s lens, Smith‘s journey is recorded, after the release of “Horses” (1975), “Radio Ethiopia” (1976) and “Easter” (1978).
The introduction of this photo book, signed by Smith herself, also includes lyrics and poems of her.
