As important as the musical presence of a rock/metal band is, so important is its stage appearance.
It basically has to have a showcase and this showcase includes the correct presentation of the name of each band, that is its logo.
It may not exactly have the logic of a business brand, but it certainly should be easy to catch the eye.
But also, to be able to be imprinted in a textbook of a teenager.
The Who
The famous target logo of the British band has a lot to say.
The up arrow symbolizes masculinity, but also the fact that their music lifts them.
The two “h” that join symbolize the bonding of the band.
The Beatles
The logo of the band from Liverpool certainly does not correspond to their brilliance, or their value, nor their timeless glory.
Designed by Ivor Arbiter, a musical instrument dealer, with the long “T” to stand out.
But it definitely fits perfectly on the front of the Ringo Star drums.
New York Dolls
The New York Dolls were one of the first punk rock bands which at no doubt influenced many.
Their logo looks like a cable ending in a microphone.
It is often depicted in pink, showing that the band was acrobatic between glam and punk rock.
Led Zeppelin
Jimmy Page’s engagement with occult arts can create an entire book, either because of the many symbolisms in their lyrics or from the covers of their albums.
Their logo, however, under the particular font, has 4 other symbols, apparently inspired by ancient cults, corresponding to the 4 members of the band.
We will dwell on the last symbol, the wing of the Egyptian deity Ma’at, goddess of justice and speech, which corresponds to the singer Robert Plant.
You can find the others in the books of Aleister Crowley.
Yes
One of the most long-lasting and pioneering Progressive rock bands, they have a puffy (hahaha) logo, that is, like an inflated balloon.
They are certainly not like inflated balloons, since they are modest.
However, the logo, which is presented in many bright colors, symbolizes exactly what they play… Progressive rock.
Aerosmith
Boston hard rockers are among the top names of their kind.
To reach the top, legs are not enough, but they also need wings, just as they are depicted in their logo.
An “A” in a circle, refers to the symbol of the anarchists, although they never showed even a slight sympathy for anarchism.
Nirvana
The variant acid smiley became the symbol of the grunge generation.
Two decades later, every teenage girl’s T-shirts were stamped with arrogant ignorance of the existence not only of the musical genre but of Nirvana themselves.
X-shaped eyes and a gnarly smile remind us of Cobain’s bad habits.
Nevertheless, this logo has surpassed even the glory of Nirvana themselves!
Guns N ’Roses
The name of the band is the imprint of the two founding members of Tracii Guns and Axl Rose.
But the image of the gun and the rose is equally dark and romantic, giving a bit of skepticism to the logo recognition.
All this is against the background of the back of a calyx.
