There are several “crazy” stories about the good old days of our metal route.
The majority of the stories, of course, have to do with the concerts, but also with the disputes that existed in the past between metalheads and punks.
Stories from a dusty crypt, one could tell!
However, there are some that leave you with your mouth open, such as the following …
More specifically in a discussion I had, about Metal fans, they described to me a story of a person who did something crazy!!!
Listening to the right sound …
In 1988 a group of teenagers starts an excursion, with the necessary “accessory” of that time the cassette player.
No one could have imagined going anywhere without this wonderful accessory!
The majority of the company listens to metal music, except for one!
This one was closer to listening to pop music.
Of course, the majority would not let him listen to his favorite music, until then, as the cassette player ONLY played metal melodies.
So, while he was mainly listening to Madonna, all of a sudden (not so much, but we have to picture it), it starts playing a highly metal album.
More specifically, it starts playing “Kings of Metal” and to be more specific it starts the song “Hail and Kill” by Manowar.
Someone would expect our friend to put on earplugs, or maybe jump out of the car …
But he, to everyone’s surprise (and ours), not only heard it all but also became a metal fan!!!
Or more correctly… He heard the right sound, (from “He saw the true light”)!
So, Madonna ended it, and Metal gained another, crazy, but fanatical, fan!
So, if they say to you again “how can you stand this music?“, let them listen to Manowar or whatever metal you like because you never know!
