There are some artists that, even a preamble to their story is trivial..
Such as Dehn Sora, with the project Treha Sektori.
His story does not need a prologue and/or comments.
Simply senses…
“Back in 2013, I was on the verge of my second live show ever with Treha Sektori.
Rehearsed a live set based on the second album “Endessiah” I had released a few months before.
On the side, I wanted to develop all the live visuals aspects of the project. I was working on ideas, do-it-yourself wise making them reality, helped by my brother William Lacalmontie.
A first manifestation of the scheme appeared at that moment. I had the visual written, but it was not fitting to any track I already had.
Some new sounds emerged in my head that would fit this visual that was still not a reality.
I let it in a side of my head, but still in the will to make that video happen.
It passes by a real physical experience. For the sake of the video, I had to seek some hearts.
Starting a tentacular path in Paris, to find the right address.
I wanted lamb ones, for symbolic reasons.
The path ended in a supplier that turned to be historical. The oldest of Paris as they said.
Quite an experience to see people taking on their backs as much meat as a body can handle.
The video took place in a forest that is known for biodiversity. In the middle of trees, you suddenly have a desert. A sand desert.
We were two people, handling the gear. The heavy gear.
Sun started to appear at this year’s period. No way to park somewhere in front of that desert part. You have to carry your burden.
The shooting was intense too. Facing incomprehension, elements striking.
Broke… when I got back.
But after derushing, it became clear that it needed extra shots.
A week after, carrying the burden again. And the bag with the hearts.
The freezer I stoked them in was not the best conditioned ever.
When I opened the bag in that small desert, the stench stroke me so hard. Pretty quickly surrounded by flies.
Conditions were here. Hard. It had to be felt 100%.
Still as of today, if I watch the video, my body reassembles the sensations, the hard times, but with the right feeling of being ready to live it again at any second. A physical sound.
I started again on the audial aspect of it, it started to take shape.
End of a week. The show would happen the day after.
After my daily graphic job at that time, I had to find a friend so he could give me a piece of iron to build some instrument with it.
On the way, I had weird telephone calls from members of my family, that asked me if I would come home.
Wasn’t the plan so. But my girlfriend asked me to come by our home, for some reasons.
When I got there, she announced that my grandfather died. Heart attack in the streets. I had to go see my mother, right after.
Had to skip that iron piece exchange. Thing which I did the day after.
At that show, where I played the track for the first time. Ah Estereh Komh Derah stands for « no star is made of bright ». A title that found its sense later.
Never used that iron piece, until a week ago. It had to release the ghosts inside.”
