Judas Priest singer Rob Halford’s biography of Hachette books is expected to be released on September 29.
“Confess“, as it is titled, contains 320 pages and was written by Ian Gittins.
In the summary of the book one can read the following:
“Most priests receive confessions. In this, he gives his own. ”
A sentence that characterizes, exactly what we expect to read from Halford.
The author characteristically states on the back cover: “His full autobiography is an unforgettable story.
A journey from a Walsall council estate to musical fame via alcoholism, addiction, police cells, ill-starred sexual trysts, and bleak personal tragedy…
Thought to rehab, coming out, redemption … and finding love.
Now, he is telling his gospel truth.”
But most of all, as Gittins points out, “Confess” is a celebration of the fire and power of Heavy Metal.
“Rob Halford has decided to Confess. Because it’s good for the soul,” concludes the back cover.
