Every successful musician, after obtaining financial security, “reveals” to his friends and followers other “hidden” talents.
After all, the need for expression often exceeds the limits of the art of music.
Corey Taylor from Slipknot and Stone Sour is no exception to this informal rule.
The well-known frontman doesn’t know what rest means …
In 2019 he was working on his new book, a solo album, and above all on the band’s new discography which featured him.
All this, however, was not enough to satisfy the artist’s creative passion.
He also wrote a script for a horror movie!
As he has said many times, he is a fan of this type of film.
And beyond that, let’s not forget that metal music has a very special relationship with this kind of movies!
Taylor‘s mask is designed by Tom Savini, a well-known prosthetic makeup artist.
He is responsible for, among other things, “Friday the 13th” (parts I and IV), “Maniac“, “The Burning“, “The Prowler” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2“.
But his collaboration with George A. Romero, creator of the films “Martin“, “Dawn of the Dead“, “Day of the Dead“, etc., is well known.
Watching horror films that inspire his stage presence was not enough for Taylor and has decided to actively participate in the making of such a film.
Rumors have the artist to work on this script during October 2019, and it is rumored to have already completed it.
We learned about his new activity from an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, where he revealed his plans for 2020:
“Man, there are so many things I have planned to do. I just work in a movie. I finished the script and I’m looking for investors and producers. “
We still do not know how filming is going, but knowing the pace of its work on various projects, we suspect that by the middle of 2020 …
We will have the first sample of his film.
