Science has encountered metal music several times, at least in recent years.
The good thing is that this is happening more and more often.
And there are fewer and fewer restrictions on science circles, for someone to declare their love for this music… in a scientific way.
For example, naming a new animal in honor of your favorite metal role model.
The events began when 4 new species of spiders were recently discovered.
Brazilian biologist Cristina Rheims from the Instituto Butantan Study Center in Sao Paulo discovered 4 new species of this insect.
She is also a big fan of metal music, speaking to Public Radio International she said:
“Metal is the kind of music I love the most and the one I hear the most.”
Eventually, it turned out that Rheims could incorporate her musical tastes into her own study, though apparently they had nothing to do with each other.
The nomenclature of the new spider species has a specific protocol and / or formality.
The first synthetic consists of the name of the species, which is already predefined.
The second synthetic is the adjective or adjective, which is given in honor of the scholar.
Who will either use his own name as a reward for his hard work or let their imagination make this name choice.
The new species discovered by the Brazilian biologist belong to the Sparianthinae family and are found in areas of New Mexico as well as Argentina.

Όταν οι επιστήμονες είναι μεταλάδες…
Η επιστήμη έχει συναντήσει αρκετές φορές την metal, τουλάχιστον τα τελευταία χρόνια.
Το θετικό είναι πως αυτό γίνεται όλο και πιο συχνά.
Και υπάρχουν όλο και λιγότεροι περιορισμοί στους επιστημονικού κύκλους, να δηλώσει κάποιος την αγάπη του για αυτή την μουσική με… επιστημονικό τρόπο.
Για παράδειγμα ονομάζοντας ένα νέο είδος προς τιμή του αγαπημένου μέταλ ειδώλου.
Τα γεγονότα ξεκινάνε όταν ανακαλύφτηκαν πρόσφατα 4 νέα είδη αραχνών.
Η βιολόγος από την Βραζιλία Cristina Rheims, από το κέντρο μελέτης Instituto Butantan στο Sao Paulo ανακάλυψε 4 νέα είδη αυτού του εντόμου.
Μιλώντας στο Public Radio International, δηλώνει και μεγάλη οπαδός της metal μουσικής:
«Η Metal είναι το είδος μουσικής, το οποίο αγαπάω πιο πολύ και αυτή που ακούω πιο συχνά».
Τελικά αποδείχτηκε πως η Rheims μπορούσε να ενσωματώσει τα μουσικά της γούστα στην δική της μελέτη, αν και φαινομενικά δεν είχαν καμιά σχέση μεταξύ τους.
Η ονοματολογία των νέων ειδών αραχνών έχει ένα συγκεκριμένο πρωτόκολλο ή/και τυπικό.
Το πρώτο συνθετικό αποτελείται από την ονομασία του είδους, η οποία είναι ήδη προκαθορισμένη.
Το δεύτερο συνθετικό είναι το επίθεμα ή επίθετο, το οποίο δίνεται, προς τιμήν του μελετητή.
Ο οποίος είτε θα χρησιμοποιήσει το δικό του όνομα, σαν επιβράβευση των κόπων του, είτε θα αφήσει την φαντασία του να κάνει αυτή την επιλογή ονόματος.
Τα νέα είδη που ανακάλυψε η Βραζιλιάνα βιολόγος ανήκουν στην οικογένεια των Sparianthinae και συναντώνται στις περιοχές του Ν. Μεξικού ως και της Αργεντινής.
Έτσι οι ονομασίες των νέων ειδών έχουν ως εξής: Extraordinarius…

- … klausmeinei: Από τον τραγουδιστή των Scorpions Klaus Meine
- … rickalleni: Από τον ντράμερ των Def Leppard Rick Allen
- … andrematosi: Προς τιμή του André Matos, τραγουδιστή των Βραζιλιάνων Angra, οποίος απεβίωσε πρόσφατα (8 Ιουνίου) από καρδιακή προσβολή.
Η ίδια ομολογεί πως πάντα ονειρευόταν μια τέτοια γλωσσική διαδικασία ονομασίας:
«Πάντα ήθελα κάπως να τιμήσω των Rick Allen, θεωρώ πως είναι καλό παράδειγμα για όλους τους ανθρώπους.
Είναι ντράμερ, ο οποίος έχασε το ένα του χέρι και δεν παραδόθηκε.
Συνέχισε την καριέρα του, δεν παραιτήθηκε και έμαθε να παίζει με το ένα χέρι.
Νομίζω πως και ο ίδιος ανήκει στην κατηγορία των ασυνήθιστων (extraordinarius στα λατινικά, κατά προσέγγιση)».
Μένει να ακούσουμε ένα διάλογο τύπου:
Γιος: Μαμά μαμά έχει μια Extraordinarius brucedickinsoni κάτω από το κρεβάτι μου
Μάνα: Ε φυσικά, με αυτά που ακούς θα εμφανιζόταν και αυτή. Να καθαρίσεις το δωμάτιο σου!!
