(or Christcore)
Bees and flies also come to honey.
How it sounds
As a hardcore full of hope and love for the Lord.
It is essentially hardcore with Christian lyrics and much more expensive production.
Why listen to it
Because even though you are a blasphemous punk and a metalhead, you deeply feel the call of the Lord and his light in your heart.
Hokum!!!
Because for some strange reason Christian bands make very good music, especially in America.
Why not
Because even though you feel the divine light bathing you, you are deeply a satanic metalhead and punk at the same time.
Where we meet it
The USA and Scandinavia
When did it start
From the mid-’80s. It basically moved in parallel with the spread of hardcore.
Who are the pioneers
Extol, Zao, Living Sacrifice are considered pioneers of the genre.
But the originators of the genre are, probably, The Crucified, and Focused.
You have to listen
Demon Hunter, 38th Parallel, Alove for Enemies, Altars, The Blamed, Darkness Divided.
Days of glory
Essentially after 2000 AD. some bands still entered the US charts but under the veil of metalcore.
Red card
The financing of these bands remains a mystery!
There is a rumor that some Christian “sects” are not stingy to throw a lot of money into the music industry.
Also, it is not uncommon for bands to change genre, although they remain consistent in their subject matter.
What is it confused with
With pure and vagrant hardcore, with metalcore and Christian punk
How do you describe it to an irrelevant
Some screaming punks who talk about the Lord and our only savior (???) and do not drink alcohol!
