A myth was once history, with oblivion distorting the truth about the events.
Some people have either been idolized or demonized while participating in and/or writing history.
Throughout Rock’s story, there were events that were simple negotiators before they became history… and many remained a myth.
“Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, and Miles Davis came close to creating a super-band, as it has been revealed.”
My online friend Michalis Pougounas, voice and soul of New Zero Gods writes on his personal profile.
Of course, it also reminds us of the source, which was a 2013 article on the “NME” page.
“When Hendrix, Miles Davis, and Davis drummer Tony Williams were planning to record an album together in 1969, produced by Allan Douglas, they sent a telegram to McCartney asking him to go and record the bass.”
Perhaps the strangest coexistence in music history!
Of those who hear between myths that narrate some drunk rockers with a vast encyclopedic knowledge of music.

“The telegram was sent on October 22, 1969, and read: ‘We are recording an LP together this weekend.
How about playing the bass stop call Alan Douglas 212-5812212. Peace Jimi Hendrix Miles Davis Tony Williams”.
Only the reading of the names brings dizziness, while at the same time it takes the events out of the realm of myth, bringing them into the course of musical history.
An invisible architect, however, had a different opinion and this musical meeting never took place.
Beatles aide Peter Brown responded to the telegram by telling Douglas that McCartney was in Scotland on holiday and would be away for the next two weeks.
We don’t know if the member of “Beetles” learned about this proposal, but this unique recording was not made.
Fate has decided that some legends should not be musically assembled, and Hendrix “abandon” this small world 11 months later, on September 18, 1970.
This telegram was displayed at the Hard Rock Cafe in Prague.
Hard Rock historian Jeff Nolan told the Telegraph: “The great Hendrix connoisseurs know about this telegram. It would be one of the craziest super-groups.”
Something that certainly cannot be disputed …
After all, the facts of Rock’s steps are gradually being revealed, filling in some gaps in its long history.
